Yazd is located on the central Iranian plateau, between the desert of Dasht-e Kavir in the north and the Dasht-e Lut in the south, the city is surrounded by salt lakes.

According to UNESCO , after Ur in Mesopotamia Yazd is the oldest city in the world,  . Yazd was known 3000 years BC under the name of " Yasatis " or " Issatis ", that was located on the territory of the Indo-European people Medes.  Yazd is known as a Sassanid city , the city of Zoroastrians and caravanserais .

Yazd is the largest city in Iran enjoys the most arid climate with rainfall of only 60 mm per year. The average summer temperature is between 28 ° and 40 ° C in winter and between 3 ° and 14 ° C.

The most attractive  places in Yazd are the mosque Amir Chakhmâgh , Great Msoquée , Ateshkadeh Yazd , The Badgir Dowlat-Abad Zoroastrian Towers of Silence and The Old Town.
